Japanese Tattoos
Japanese Tattoos — Flow, Symbol, and Spirit
Japanese tattooing holds a timeless beauty —
a language of form, colour, and movement that tells stories of strength, honour, and transformation.
It is an art where discipline meets flow,
where every line, shade, and symbol carries intention.
My passion for colour finds its fullest expression in this tradition.
The balance of deep black and soft grey wash with radiant colour
creates a living harmony upon the skin —
a dance between shadow and light,
stillness and motion.

Learning the Way
I spent three years travelling and working in Japan,
learning alongside master tattoo artists in Tokyo.
Their precision, humility, and devotion to the craft
left a lasting impression —
a way of working that honours both the art and the spirit of the wearer.
Through this experience, I’ve shaped my own contemporary approach to Japanese tattooing —
one that honours tradition while allowing the story of the individual to emerge through colour, form, and flow.

The Invitation
Each design begins with the essence you wish to embody —
protection, strength, transformation, or peace.
From there, the imagery unfolds: koi and waves, phoenix and peony, dragon and cloud —
ancient symbols woven with your personal story.
If you feel drawn to this art form,
we can craft a design that moves with your body,
honouring both the old ways and the new.
