My journey into the profound relationship between shape, design, and energy took a pivotal turn during an enlightening course on ancient Egyptian knowledge I attended in the United States. This experience was not only academic; it was a deep dive into the esoteric principles that have guided countless generations before us. The teachings, steeped in the wisdom of the ancients, illuminated the ways in which forms and patterns do not merely exist but radiate with energy and purpose.
This course revealed how ancient cultures, from the Egyptians to other civilisations across the world, harnessed the power of symbols and geometry. Whether through the artistry of wall paintings, the precision of stone carvings, the meticulous designs on wood and skin, or even the architectural wonders they constructed, these cultures understood something profound: shapes and designs are conduits of energy and resonators of cosmic frequencies.
In the classroom, amidst artefacts and replicas of ancient relics, we learned that each shape we see or create isn’t just a figure but a complex interaction of energies. These shapes can be tailored to produce specific effects, to heal, to empower, or to connect, depending on their geometric properties and how they are used in space. We were taught how to fine-tune these shapes, adjusting their angles and curves to better resonate with the individual energies of a person or the particular aura of a place.
Understanding that different shapes resonate with different energies was just the beginning. We explored the concept that a shape is essentially a pattern of energy movement captured in a moment of time—a snapshot of the dynamic energy flow that nature continuously crafts. This captured energy, when crafted with intent, forms a point of creation within the shape. It’s at this juncture that the shape becomes more than a visual element; it transforms into a source of harmonic balance, potentially ushering in healing and alignment between the spiritual and physical realms.
The mantra “Energy into Shape creates Function” became a guiding principle for us. It taught us that energy can be directed and moulded to perform specific functions; it can be programmed through intentional design to embody power and purpose. As we manipulated these geometric patterns, we were not just drawing lines or carving out forms; we were programming energy to manifest a desired effect.
This realisation deepened our understanding of the relationship between energy and consciousness. In this framework, creating a shape was akin to creating a new field of energy—a new consciousness. This consciousness, born from organised energy, suggested that each design we created was not merely an object of artistic expression but a living, energetic entity.
